School kids

A farm visit for younger students is a great way to discover where our food comes from. They will visit a large working farm and see the dairy, beef cattle, sheep and horses. They will talk to the farmers and get a chance to see what it's like on a farm. Worksheets are available on request. [Risk assessment form].

The heritage programs are great fun. 'A Study in Change' for years K-6 is designed to meet the curriculum across a number of areas. In the heritage surrounds of Tocal Homestead, students have a hands-on experience of life on an Australian farm 100 years ago. You can download full details of the Study in Change program as a pdf file [Download details]. You can also download a risk assessment form [Download form].

Tours can be run as full day visits. The cost is $9.50 per student for a homestead visit and $7.50 for a farm visit. For more information or to make a booking contact the Homestead Coordinator by email or phone (1800 025 520 or 02 4939 8888).
